Definition
A post-translational modification (PTM). O-acylation (esters), N-acylation (amides), S-acylation (thioesters).
BioPharmaSpec assesses for acylation using a combination of intact molecular weight analysis (to show a mass difference from the expected) and peptide mapping (to confirm the PTM and assess for the site of the modification).
