The extinction coefficient is a measurement of how much light your biopharmaceutical absorbs (at A280). This value is dependent on the protein content of your sample and so to accurately determine the protein concentration of a protein sample, the extinction coefficient must be determined. BioPharmaSpec achieves this through amino acid analysis.
