BioPharmaSpec attended the annual BIO International Convention, held June 3rd to 6th in San Diego, California.
The 2024 edition was well attended, as always: 18,500 participants from over 5,000 companies, including Biotech, Big Pharma, instrument manufacturers, CDMOs, CROs, consultants, IP lawyers, venture capitalists, regional business parks, and academia. The conference is always a great way to meet our existing and prospective clients from around the world: typically, almost half the attendees are from outside of USA, with main international representation from South Korea, Canada, UK, Japan and France and Germany.
This was BioPharmaSpec’s 9th participation since 2015, the pandemic years being the only editions we did not attend as an exhibitor. As one of over 1,500 exhibitors, we always maximize our meeting time using the One-on-One partnering system resulting in around 50 meetings over the course of the conference. It seems to us that over the past few years there has been a gradual shift of the exhibit hall layout from smaller 10’x10’ booths towards fewer, larger, pavilions. As such, the partnering tool is very helpful to ensure that BioPharmaSpec maintains its visibility in the crowded exhibit hall.
After a successful BIO 2024, BioPharmaSpec looks forward to next year in Boston (June 16th to 19th)!
